What is in the report
- Supply: every storage facility in the 1, 3 and 5 mile rings, with rentable square feet from county assessor records or building footprints. Each one is labeled with how it was sized.
- Posted rates: prices for common unit sizes (5x5 up to 10x30), pulled from listing sites and the facilities' own websites, with the source and date seen.
- Demand: ring population from U.S. Census data, times the square feet per person benchmark from the 2026 Self-Storage Almanac for the metro, state and U.S.
- The answer: excess demand or oversupply for each ring, today and 5 years out, in plain words.
- Extras: a clean competitor map, demographics, nearby traffic counts and building permits.
