Questions
Where does the data come from?
U.S. Census population data (American Community Survey and 2020 block counts), county assessor records, building footprint data, state traffic counts, the Census Building Permits Survey, the 2026 Self-Storage Almanac, and posted rates on listing sites and facility websites. Each report lists its sources.
How long does it take?
3 business days.
How accurate is it?
It is an estimate from public records, not a site visit. When a facility's size cannot be found, it is marked unknown. The supply total is a floor: it leaves out facilities that cannot be sized, so real supply may be higher. Sizes estimated from building footprints may vary from actual rentable space. Posted rates are what a facility showed online on the date seen, and may include promotions.
Do you call facilities?
No. We never make phone calls. Rates come only from what is posted online. If a facility posts no rates, the report says so.
Is this a full feasibility study?
No. It covers the supply and demand part. It does not include a building budget, financing or a pro forma, and it is not investment advice. Your lender may require a full study.
